Ancient Wisdom for Modern Well-Being
Welcome friends…
I'm Monica Limon, founder of Soul Tree Holistic Ayurveda & Yoga.
I'm an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and Marma Therapist based in Reno, Nevada. Through yoga, Ayurveda, and personalized wellness guidance, I help people reconnect with their natural rhythm so they can feel healthier, more balanced, and more at home in themselves.
Whether you're stepping onto a yoga mat for the very first time or looking for a more holistic approach to your health, my hope is that you'll find space to slow down, breathe deeply, and discover what truly nourishes you.

CLASS UPDATE: NO CLASS ON JULY 30TH.
When I'm not teaching, you'll often find me tending my flower garden, taking long walks, traveling with my family, experimenting with Ayurvedic recipes, or enjoying a quiet cup of tea with a good book. Nature has always been one of my greatest teachers, reminding me that balance isn't something we achieve—it's something we continually nurture.
My journey…
My yoga journey began in 1999. At first, I simply wanted to become more flexible and support my love of running. But it didn't take long to realize yoga was offering me something much deeper than physical movement. It became a place of connection, curiosity, and coming home to myself. I quickly fell in love—not only with the practice, but with the beautiful community that surrounded it.
Shortly after becoming a mom, my curiosity continued to grow. When my son was four years old, I was inspired to deepen my understanding of yoga so we could share fun poses on the mat together. I enrolled in the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kim Orenstein at Yoga Loka, thinking I was simply learning how to teach yoga.
Instead, I discovered Ayurveda.
The moment we explored how Ayurvedic wisdom supports the body and how yoga becomes a pathway toward emotional, mental, and physical balance, something inside me simply clicked. It felt less like discovering something new and more like remembering something I had always known. I knew I had found the work I was meant to do.
From there, Ayurveda naturally became part of my everyday life. I began working with Ayurvedic practitioners in my community, learning to live in harmony with my unique constitution through nourishing food, herbs, Abhyanga (self-massage), daily self-care routines, and seasonal living. What began as a way to gently prepare my body for peri-menopause evolved into a way of life that transformed my overall well-being.
The more I experienced the profound effects of these practices, the more I wanted to learn. I immersed myself in books, workshops, and years of formal study, eventually graduating from the California College of Ayurveda with certifications in Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, Ayurvedic Health Counseling, and Marma Therapy.
Today, I love sharing these timeless teachings in a way that feels practical, approachable, and deeply personal. My classes and consultations blend ancient wisdom with modern life, offering simple tools that help you cultivate balance—not through perfection, but through small, meaningful daily practices.
I truly believe healing doesn't happen all at once. It unfolds one breath, one choice, and one mindful moment at a time. It is an honor to walk alongside my students and clients as they reconnect with their own inner wisdom and discover what it feels like to thrive.
